Bhubaneswar: MLA Premananda Nayak, who represents Telkoi constituency in Keonjahr district, has resigned from primary membership of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Nayak informed that he had sent his resignation letter to BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and the party’s organisational secretary through e-mail in October last year.

Notably, Nayak won the Assembly election in 2009 and 2019 on a BJD ticket. He was picked as Skill Development and Technical Education Minister in the fifth term of Naveen Patnaik.
