Odisha mops up OGST, IGST settlement of Rs7,225.25 crore till July; rises 19.26% YoY

Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded growth rate of 19.26 per cent with mop up of OGST and IGST settlement of Rs 7,225.25 crore up to July 2023, an official source Tuesday said.

The progressive collection to be retained by the state (OGST + IGST Settlement) till July 2023 stands at Rs 7,225.25 crore against a collection of Rs 6,058.27 crore till July 2022 recording a growth of 19.26 per cent, the source added.

During July 23, the state collected OGST and IGST settlement to the tune of Rs 1,716.49 crore. The OGST collection during July 23 is recorded at Rs 1,300.33 crore against collection of Rs 1,112.66 crore during July 22 with growth rate of 16.87 per cent, the source informed.

The progressive collection of OGST till July 23 is Rs 5,511.69 crore against collection of Rs 5,238.61 crore till July 22 with growth of 5.21 per cent. With regard to gross GST collection the state has recorded a collection of Rs 4,245.40 crore during July, 2023 against a collection of Rs 3,651.61 crore over the corresponding period of July, 2022 registering a growth rate of 16.26 per cent, added the source.

The collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha including GST/ VAT/ Entry Tax / Profession Tax is Rs 10,776.87 crore up to the month of July, 2023 as against collection of Rs 9,563.01 crore up to July, 2022 registering a growth rate of 12.69 per cent, said the source.

The source said during July 2023, 20.12 Lakh of waybills have been generated vis-à-vis 15.68 Lakh of waybills generated during July 2022 recording a growth of 28.31 per cent reflecting the buoyancy in the economic sector, teh source concluded.
