Bhubaneswar: The OBC survey deadline has been extended by Odisha government to June 6, a notification issued by I&PR Department of the state government stated.
The OBC survey was originally planned to be carried out between May 1 and May 26. However, the government extended the deadline to June 6 due to the hot weather conditions, the notification informed.
From now on, the government-hired enumerators would visit the homes and conduct the survey on holidays as well.
All 208 castes excluding Brahmin, Karan, Schedule Caste, and Schedule Tribe are taking part in the survey. The anganwadi centres and Public Distribution System (PDS) stations have been designated as survey centres in addition to door-to-door surveys. Any adult member of a family might go to the centre to provide information about the members of his or her family.
How to participate in the survey?
One can participate both in online and offline modes.
To participate in offline mode, one can visit the survey centre primarily with ration card and other identity proofs such as Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, Voter ID cards and passports. If a family does not have a ration card, then they can also go to the survey centre with the ID proofs mentioned above.

Notably, the survey centres will be open on all working days from 10am to 5pm.
To participate in online mode, one can submit the ICR survey forms on the survey portal (https://oscbcapi.odisha.gov.in).
