Phulbani: At least 15 persons were injured Wednesday after an OSRTC bus — heading to Angul from Phulbani –overturned at Ranipathar ghat near Charichhak on Boudh-Kandhamal border, a source said.
The injured were rushed to a nearby health centre and later shifted to a hospital in Phulbani, the source added.
The helper of the bus informed that the accident took place at around 5:40am today.
“During yesterday’s journey from the opposite direction, the driver told me about a glitch in the handling of the bus. He told me the wheels pull sideways when brakes are applied,” the helper added.
However, neither the police nor RTO officials have ascertained any specific reason behind the mishap at the time of filing this report.
