Bhubaneswar: Police Saturday seized two truckloads of firecrackers and around 25 kilograms of gunpowder illegally stored in a godown at Kantapada village under Begunia police limits of Khurda district in Odisha.
Sources said, acting on a tipoff, a police team conducted a raid and seized the firecrackers. Police also detained a person in this connection and inquired into the incident.
A bomb disposal squad has been deputed to defuse the explosives. Inquiry is underway to find the source of the procurement.
