Puri: Miscreants allegedly looted cash from the donation box kept at the Dakshina Dwara (southern gate) of Srimandir in Odisha’s Puri late Thursday night, a source said Friday.

According to the source, the miscreants allegedly broke open the donation box and fled with the money.

The incident came to fore after Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) officers discovered an empty donation box near the Nrusingha temple. The donation box has been handed over to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) by the JTP.

At the time of filing this report, no FIR was filed by SJTA in this regard.
