Odisha ranks 2nd in OPD care

Bhubaneswar: Amidst the ongoing war of words between the Centre and the state government over healthcare schemes, the latter has ranked second in the country for offering best OPD Services in public health facilities. In the 5th National Summit on ‘Good, Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Health Care Systems in India’, Odisha was conferred an award for securing second position for maximum improvement in Out-Patient Department (OPD) services in public healthcare facilities from 2016-17 to 2017-18. Gujarat and Karnataka have also clinched the second rank in the tally which was announced at Kaziranga in Assam Wednesday. The three-day national summit will end Thursday.
