Odisha records 1,379 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours; Sundargarh reports highest 317

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has registered 1,379 new COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, taking the tally in the state to 3,49,561 with 7,979 active cases.

Out of 1,379 new cases, 808 were reported from quarantine centres while 571 are local contacts. Details of local contacts have not been shared by concerned district administrations yet.

Sundargarh has registered the highest number of COVID-19 infections as 317 more persons in the district contracted the virus, followed by Khurda with 158 cases.

A total of 93,70,359 swab samples have been cumulatively tested in the state so far. New recoveries stand at 403.
