Odisha registers 1,201 new COVID-19 infections, death toll at 1352

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 1,201new cases of coronavirus infections in the state in the last 24 hours. This information was given by the I&PR Department, Government of Odisha via a tweet Tuesday. Out of the new positive coronavirus cases, 697 persons were in quarantine while the remaining contracted the disease by coming in contact with infected persons.

The death toll in Odisha rose to 1352 with 12 new fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. Most of these COVID-19 patients were suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other complications.

District Wise Breakdown: In last 24 hours Angul district recorded 49 fresh COVID-19 cases, similarly Balasore 48, Bargarh 58, Bhadrak 27, Bolangir 52, Boudh 8, Cuttack 69, Deogarh 5, Dhenkanal 14, Gajapati 2, Ganjam 61, Jagatsinghpur 73, Jajpur 28, Jharsuguda 35, Kalahandi 26, Kandhamal 9, Kendrapada 43, Keonjhar 32, Khurda 132, Koraput 28, Malkangiri 30, Mayurbhanj 73, Nabarangpur 24, Nayagarh 14, Nuapada 57, Puri 43, Rayagada 15, Sambalpur 31, Sonepur 24, Sundargarh 67. On the other hand the state pool stands at 24.

The current number of active cases in Odisha stands at 13,919. So far 2,94,415 persons have tested positive for the disease in the state.
