Bhubaneswar: Odisha registered 1,784 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the I & PR department, government of Odisha, informed this in a tweet. The new cases have taken the total tally in the state to 3, 53, 086. Among the new infections, 1,035 cases were in quarantine and the remaining 749 were local contacts.
Nuapada registered the highest number of COVID-19 infections as 303 more persons in the district contracted the virus, followed by Sundargarh with 241 cases.
A total of 94, 28, 469 swab samples have been cumulatively tested in the state so far. New recoveries reported 538. With this, the total number of recovered patients has increased to 3, 40, 600.
