Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha recorded 28 new Covid-19 cases, of which three are in the age group of newborn to 18 years, taking tally in the state to 12,87,801. Active caseload in the state now stands at 208.
Odisha reported zero new fatality in the last 24 hours, tally in the state remaining constant at 9,121 as per a tweet of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department posted Thursday morning. The state had also reported zero Covid-19 fatality Wednesday.
Out of the total 28 new infections, 17 were reported from quarantine centres while 11 persons contracted the virus locally. The state had registered 16 cases of coronavirus infections Wednesday.
Khurda district registered the highest number of new cases with seven persons testing positive for the disease. It was followed by Sambalpur with four new infections.

Other districts that reported fresh Covid-19 cases are: Angul (1), Balasore (1), Bolangir (2), Cuttack (2), Ganjam (1), Jagatsinghpur (1), Kendrapara (2), Mayurbhanj (3) and Sundargarh (2).
The State Pool reported two new cases. These are persons who have come from outside Odisha and have tested positive.
A total of 3,08,42,623 swab samples have been cumulatively tested so far. The number of recoveries in the last 24 hours stands at 52.
