Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha has recorded 448 new Covid-19 cases, of which 59 are in the age group of newborn to 18 years, taking total tally in the state to 10,32,144. Active caseload in the state now stands at 5,087.
Odisha also reported six (06) new fatalities in the last 24 hours taking total tally in the state to 8,255 as per a tweet of Health and Family Welfare department posted Monday morning. The state had reported seven (07) Covid-19 fatalities Sunday.
Cuttack, Kendrapara and Khurda districts reported two (02) deaths each.
Out of the 448 new infections, 259 were reported from quarantine centres while 189 persons contracted the virus locally. The state had registered 652 cases of coronavirus infections Sunday.
Khurda district registered the highest number of new cases with 208 persons testing positive for the disease. It was followed by Cuttack with 48 new infections.

Other districts that reported fresh Covid-19 cases are: Jagatsinghpur (19), Mayurbhanj (17), Balasore and Kendrapara (13 each), Jajpur and Puri (12 each), Sundargarh (10), Sambalpur (nine), Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda and Nayagarh (four each), Bhadrak, Bolangir and Keonjhar (three each), Angul, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nuapada (two each) and Bargarh, Boudh, Deogarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur and Rayagada (one each).
The State Pool reported 51 new cases. These are persons who have come from outside Odisha and have tested positive.
A total of 2,07,09,152 swab samples have been cumulatively tested so far. The number of recoveries in the last 24 hours stands at 438.
