Bhubaneswar: In the last 24 hours, Odisha has recorded 78 new Covid-19 cases, of which 20 are in the age group of newborn to 18 years, taking tally in the state to 12,86,772. Active caseload in the state now stands at 822.
Out of the total 78 new infections, 47 were reported from quarantine centres while 31 persons contracted the virus locally. The state had registered 68 cases of coronavirus infections Monday.
Kendrapara district registered the highest number of new cases with 12 persons testing positive for the disease. It was followed by Khurda with 10 new infections.

Other districts that reported fresh Covid-19 cases are: Angul (2), Balasore (1), Bolangir (2), Cuttack (1), Deogarh (1), Gajapati (8), Jagatsinghpur (1), Jajpur (4), Kandhamal (1), Koraput (7), Mayurbhanj (2), Nabarangpur (1), Nuapada (3), Puri (1), Sambalpur (9), Subarnapur (1) and Sundargarh (8).
The State Pool reported three new cases. These are persons who have come from outside Odisha and have tested positive.
A total of 2,99,64,608 swab samples have been cumulatively tested so far. The number of recoveries in the last 24 hours stands at 107.
