Bhubaneswar: A total of 1,527 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease, the Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, Government of Odisha said in a tweet Monday evening. It also said that with the new recoveries, the number of recovered patients in Odisha have gone up to 2,79,901. All the fresh recoveries have been released from their respective treatment facilities spread across the state.
Sundargarh and Balasore (127 each) registered the highest number of recoveries Monday. Khurda district reported 115 new recoveries while the figure for Cuttack and Nuapada districts stood at 107 and 104 cured patients.
Other districts from which recoveries were reported are: Jagatsinghpur (89), Angul (70), Jajpur (60), Bargarh (56), Puri (46), Mayurbhanj (45), Keonjhar and Dhenkanal (44 each), Bolangir (42), Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Sambalpur (41 each), Kalahandi (36), Koraput (34), Malkangiri (32), Sonepur (28), Nayagarh (26), Kandhamal (23), Jharsuguda (22), Ganjam and Nabarangpur (20 each), Boudh (16), Rayagada (15), Deogarh (13) and Gajapati (six).
Thirty seven persons included in the state pool also recovered from COVID-19 infection said the H&FW department in another tweet.
