Odisha reports 1,341 new COVID-19 cases, total reaches 48,796

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Tuesday reported 1,341 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally in the state to 48,796.

10 more deaths took the death toll due to COVID-19 to 296 in the state, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Out of the 1,341 new cases, 818 were reported from quarantine centres while 523 are local contacts.

District wise breakdown: Angul reported four new cases, Balasore 54, Bargarh 56, Bhadrak 83, Balangir 27, Boudh 10, Cuttack 76, Dhenkanal 14, Gajapati 20, Ganjam 227, Jagatsinghpur 16, Jajpur 15, Jharsuguda 67, Kalahandi 25, Kandhamal 16, Kendrapara 27, Keonjhar 23, Khurda 218, Koraput 45, Malkangiri 17, Mayurbhanj 9, Nabarangpur six, Nayagarh 57, Nuapada seven, Puri 16, Rayagada 75, Sambalpur 26, Sonepur 14 and Sundargarh 91.

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 15,427.
