Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 4,356 fresh COVID-19 cases Saturday, taking the total tally in the state to 2,05,452. Among the new cases of infections, 2,529 were reported from quarantine centres while 1,827 were local contacts.
In the last 24 hours, there were 16 new fatalities due to COVID-19 which took the death toll in Odisha to 783.
Khurda reported an all-time high of 902 new COVID-19 cases while 409 persons were hit by the virus in Cuttack district.
District-wise breakdown of new cases: State pool (326), Angul (197), Balasore (194), Nuapada (173), Jagatsinghpur (171), Puri (168), Mayurbhanj (153), Jajpur (136), Bhadrak (124), Rayagada (121), Jharsuguda (120), Kendrapara (119), Bargarh (106), Sundargarh (101), Kandhamal (91), Dhenkanal (84), Koraput (82), Sambalpur (81), Bolangir (76), Kalahandi (71), Ganjam (62), Nabarangpur (58), Keonjhar (55), Nayagarh (51), Boudh (49), Malkangiri (28), Gajapati (20), Sonepur and Deogarh (14 each).
The number of active cases in the state now stands at 39,184.

- A 45-year-old male of Balasore district.
- A 58-year-old male of Bolangir who was suffering from hypertension.
- A 51-year-old male from Bhubaneswar suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 37-year-old male from Bhubaneswar.
- A 50-year-old male from Bhubaneswar.
- A 59-year-old female of Bhubaneswar who was suffering from bronchial asthma.
- A 58-year-old male of Cuttack district who had diabetes.
- A 64-year-old male belonging to Jagatsinghpur district.
- A 52-year-old male from Jajpur district.
- A 64-year-old male of Koraput district.
- A 48-year-old male of Koraput district.
- A 50-year-old male of Koraput district.
- A 53-year-old male belonging to Mayurbhanj district.
- An 80-year-old female of Puri district.
- A 62-year-old female of Puri district who had other comorbidities like from diabetes, hypertension and obesity.
- A 42-year-old male of Puri district who was suffering from diabetes.
