Bhubaneswar: Morning classes for students of Class-I to Class-XII will resume in Odisha from Monday with the changed class timings, a notification issued by the I&PR Department of Odisha government has said.

According to the notification, morning classes will begin at 6:30am and end at 11am.

The notification informed that if needed, the district collectors can also change the class timings or dismiss the classes in view of the heatwave conditions.

It can be mentioned here that previously the state government had notified that the classes will be conducted between 7am to 11:30am from April 11. Later, due to the heatwave conditions in the state, classes were suspended from April 12 to April 16.

Notably, Odisha turned into a virtual cauldron in the last few days as mercury shot past 40 degrees Celsius in many places amid heatwave conditions.
