Odisha startup plans to bring unorganised services under one roof

Bhubaneswar: Notwithstanding hundreds of startups from the state experimenting on several ideas to catch the demands of specific sectors, a new startup has now come up with the idea of bringing forth several service delivery services under one roof.

Developed in the state and recognised by the Odisha government under the Startup Mission, the new startup christened as “Yupserve” has envisioned bringing forth all the services of daily needs from diverse backgrounds with just a click.

The founders of the startup claim that the service has been launched to cater to the highly unorganised sector of services which are tough to find online easily. Dibya Jyoti Mohanty, Founder and Director of the startup said that their team has now come up with the online service to offer all daily services under one roof.

“This service has been aimed at bringing daily services like cleaning, pest control, plumbing, carpentry, electricians and other daily needs under one roof. These sectors are often highly unorganised and tough to find at single source. We are providing all such services under one umbrella,” Mohanty said.

The service was formally launched on August 15 under the presence of Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi in the state capital. The founder insisted that they want to tap the market and demands of the smart cities through their services. The startup claims that they are ready to offer this service online through website and mobile app.

“We have developed our mobile application, website and also have phone-based request taking options to book our services. We want a faster and quality service delivery at doorsteps with just a click of the mouse or with simple swipes on the smartphones,” Mohanty added.

The team of the startup has members from diverse fields with many having experience in other states with working in other private companies. The team of the young entrepreneurs believes that while the service delivery at doorsteps has immense potential but it has never been organised into a single entity and not tapped as per the market potential.
