Nabarangpur: At least three persons were killed and a woman sustained serious injuries as the car in which they were travelling crashed against a roadside tree in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district, police said.
The incident took place near Basini junction on Umerkote-Jharigram Road in the district on Thursday night when they were returning home after attending a wedding in Chhattisgarh’s Jagdalpur.
The deceased have been identified as Suresh Mondal of Chatabeda village in Raigarh, Gauranga Ray of Sonepur village and Satya Ranjan Bepari of Umerkote.
The grievously injured woman, Swaralata Bepari, was first admitted to a local hospital and later shifted to Nabarangpur district headquarters hospital.
