Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has devised a new ‘vacation education programme’ for the upcoming summer vacation, School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said Tuesday.

According to the minister, a special syllabus has been prepared for this programme and it will be implemented from May 4, 2023.

As per the programme, each class will be split into different groups of students and teachers will monitor the activities of these groups. The teachers will maintain communication with the students and their parents over the phone to keep track of the students’ progress in studies in accordance with their respective syllabi, Dash informed.

This programme is specially designed to stop students from wasting their time so that they can utilise it in a more fruitful manner which will benefit them in future, the minister added.

Notably, in 2023, the summer vacation for school-going students will begin May 5 and end June 19.
