Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather bulletin, issued a Yellow Warning for thunderstorm in several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8.30 AM of August 11: According to IMD, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha.
From 8.30 AM of August 11 to 8.30 AM of August 12: The weather agency issued a Yellow Warning that forecast thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Puri and Nayagarh districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north interior Odisha and at a few places over the remaining districts of the state.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 35 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 36.0 degree Celsius and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.0 degree Celsius were recorded at Balasore, the bulletin informed.
