Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather alert issued Yellow Warning for thunderstorm till morning of August 9 in several Odisha districts.
Upto 8.30 AM of August 8: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda and Cuttack districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda and at a few places over the rest districts of the districts.
From 8.30 AM of August 8 to 8.30 AM of August 9: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Koraput and Gajapati districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of the state.

The weather agency forecast no change in maximum temperature (day temperature) over the next four to five days and a gradual rise by 2 to 4 degree Celsius thereafter.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 32 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 35.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhadrak while the lowest minimum temperature of 22.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Nabarangpur, the bulletin informed.
