Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather alert of July 2 issued a Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8.30 AM of July 3: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nayagarh and Angul districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of the state.
From 8.30 AM of July 3 to 8.30 AM of July 4: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul and Boudh districts. Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhamal and Nabarangapur districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and at a few places over the rest districts of the state.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 36 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 38.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Paralakhemundi while the lowest minimum temperature of 24.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Nabarangpur, the weather alert of July 2 informed.
