Bhubaneswar: The temperature in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar is likely to be in the range of 30 to 35 degree Celsius over the next five days, the regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar said Tuesday.
IMD forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in many districts of Odisha over the next two days.
The weather agency also issued a Yellow Warning for thunderstorms and lightning over several districts of the state.
From 8.30 AM of August 31 to 8.30 AM of September 1: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Nuapada, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Gajapati districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
From 8.30 AM of September 01 to 8.30 AM of September 2: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 35 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 35.7 degree Celsius was recorded at Chandbali while the lowest minimum temperature of 23.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhawanipatna, Phulbani, and Nabrangpur, the weather bulletin informed.
