Odisha weather April 12: IMD issues Yellow Warning for heat wave conditions till April 16

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Wednesday issued a Yellow Warning (heat wave condition) for several districts of Odisha till April 16.

Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to gradually rise further by 2- 3 degrees Celsius at many places in several districts of the state over the next two days and no large change is predicted thereafter, IMD bulletin informed.

Maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to be more than 40 degrees Celsius and above normal by 3-5 degrees Celsius at a few places in Odisha over the next four days.

Up to 8.30 AM of April 13: Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of April 13 to 8.30 AM of April 14:  IMD issued Yellow Warning (be updated) for several districts of the state.

The weather agency predicted heat wave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore districts.

In the same time frame, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of April 14 to 8.30 AM of April 15: IMD issued Yellow Warning (be updated) for several districts of the state.

The weather agency predicted that heat wave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Angul districts.

In the same timeframe, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

From 8.30 AM of April 15 to 8.30 AM of April 16: IMD issued Yellow Warning (be updated) for several districts of the state.

The weather agency predicted heat wave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, Deogarh, Boudh, and Kandhamal districts.

In the same timeframe, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a clear sky is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 41 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Baripada while the lowest minimum temperature of 19.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Phulbani.
