Odisha weather April 6: IMD issues Yellow Warning for these districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Wednesday issued a Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha.

Upto 8:30 AM of April 7: Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Odisha.

As per the Yellow Warning, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bolangir, Sonepur, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj districts of the state.

From 8:30 AM of April 7 to 8:30 AM of April 8: IMD issues Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha.

As per the Yellow Warning, thunderstorm with lightning and hailstorm with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places over Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada and Kandhamal districts of the state.

Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha.

The weather agency forecasted no large change in maximum temperature (Day temperature) over the next 4-5 days over the districts of the state.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 38 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.

The highest maximum temperature of 38.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Jharsuguda and the lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius was recorded at Jagatsinghpur in the plains of Odisha.
