Odisha weather: Eight districts likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning Sunday

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorms with lightning till 8.30 AM of March 12, informed regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar Saturday.

The weather agency has issued a Yellow Warning for Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Koraput till Sunday morning.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Khordha, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Koraput. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

The weather forecast further added that dry weather is very likely to prevail over the state from 8.30 AM of March 12 to 8.30 AM of March 13.

According to the weather report dated March 11, the highest maximum temperature of 37.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 16.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Phulbani in Odisha.
