Odisha weather forecast: Heavy rainfall likely as IMD issues Yellow Warning

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Sunday in its weather forecast issued a Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha.

Upto 8.30 AM of July 24: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Rayagada, Ganjam and Kandhamal districts.

In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of south interior Odisha and at many places over the remaining districts of the state.

From 8.30 AM of July 24 to 8.30 AM of July 25: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Bolangir districts.

In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at most places over the districts of south Odisha and at many places over the districts of north Odisha.

In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 33 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.

In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 33.8 degree Celsius was recorded at Paradeep while the lowest minimum temperature of 23.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Nuapada, Nabarangpur and Angul, the bulletin informed.
