Bhubaneswar: A fresh cyclonic circulation is likely to form over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal around September 12, 2023, IMD Bhubaneswar Saturday informed in its weather bulletin.
The agency further stated that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places during the next two days over the districts of Odisha.
From September 11 to 14, the weather agency issued Yellow Warning for heavy rainfall in some parts of Odisha. The weather agency has also issued warning for thunderstorm with lightning. Light to moderate rains or thundershower is very likely over the other parts of the state, IMD informed.
From 8.30 am of Sept 11 to 8.30 am of Sept 12: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh and Kandhamal districts.

Similarly, from 8.30 am of Sept 12 to 8.30 am of Sept 13, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada districts.
In the same time frame, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul, Boudh and Dhenkanal districts.
From 8.30 am of Sept 11 to 8.30 am of Sept 12, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh and Jajpur districts.
Over Bhubaneswar, the weather agency predicted a mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards the afternoon or evening.
