Odisha weather: IMD forecasts cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal around September 29

Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the north Andaman sea and neighbourhood September 29, the regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar informed Saturday.

Under its influence a low-pressure area is likely to form over north Andaman sea and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 24 hours, the weather agency added.

Upto 8.30am of September 24: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack,  Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Boudh and Kandhamal districts.

The weather agency forecast that heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts.

From 8.30am of September 24 to 8.30am of September 25: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada districts.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of north Odisha and at a few places over the districts of south Odisha, the weather agency informed.

In Bhubaneswar, over the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm is expected. Maximum and Minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 34 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively.
