Odisha’s retired IAS Officer Priyabrata Patnaik passes away at private hospital in Mumbai

Bhubaneswar: Former senior IAS officer of Odisha Priyabrata Patnaik died Tuesday at Mumbai’s Apollo hospital after a battle with liver cancer.

Patnaik was 67.

Family sources said, he breathed his last at 7.30am.

Efforts are on to bring his mortal remains back to Odisha.

The bureaucrat served the state in various capacities including the CMD of Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco) in the rank of chief secretary.

Patnaik was also the president of Odisha Judo Association.

Patnaik’s mortal remains will be brought back to Bhubaneswar Wednesday, sources informed.
