New Delhi: The power packed performances of Mahari, Odissi and other Odia dance forms marked the Odisha Day celebrations during the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan here Wednesday.
Several of artists from Odisha showcased the richness and diverse culture of the state through various dance forms of the state at Hamsadhwani theatre.
While Ashok Kumar Ghosal and his troupe performed Odissi dance, Chandrika Rana and troupe from Bhubaneswar performed Mahari at the event.
Similarly, Dhyanananda Panda and his troupe from Kalahandi performed Singhari dance and the Dhap dance was performed by Basudev Sa and troupe from Bolangir. Song and dance performances by Susmita Das also held the audience spellbound.
The Resident Commissioner of Odisha, Sunil Bhargava, and other officials graced the occasion.
