Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Tuesday published the results of Offline Matric Examination-2021.

The pass percentage stands at 80.83 per cent. A total of 15,136 students appeared in the examination across 506 test centres with strict adherence to Covid-19 guidelines.

The students who were not happy with the marks allotted to them by the BSE had appeared in the examination. For them, the offline examination was conducted which started July 30 and continued till August 5.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Class X examinations were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year. Marks were awarded through an alternative assessment method adopted by the BSE.

A total of 5,62,010 students (boys- 2,80,352 and Girls- 2,81,658) had passed the examinations out of the 5,74,125 examinees. However, a total 7,703 students had failed to get pass marks and many of these students were dissatisfied with the marks. This led the state government to announce that a special offline examination for students who were not satisfied with their marks would be conducted.
