Bhubaneswar: In a bid to streamline disbursement of incentives to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday launched a web-based platform for distribution of the government incentives.
Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said, “Sometime back, I had announced promotion of 3Ts (technology, transparency and teamwork) in delivery of public services. In this context, I am happy to launch the “Online Administration of Incentives for MSMEs (AIM). MSME entrepreneurs will now be able to apply for various incentives under Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) and MSME Policy online.”
In the recent rankings of Ease of Doing Business declared by the Centre, Orissa has been reckoned as a leader for facilitating reforms for doing business in the state, he said, adding, “My government is committed to providing conducive environment to MSME entrepreneurs.”
The government has disbursed incentive of Rs 80.50 crore to 973 MSME units since 2011-12 that have created employment for nearly 22,200 persons in the state, the CM said.
“I am sure, the web application, AIM, will ease the administration of incentives, thereby benefiting our MSME entrepreneurs,” he added.
The entrepreneurs, who have set up units and want to get incentives under various polices of the state government, can apply online by logging into official website of MSME department, director of industries Niranjan Sahu said.
Earlier, they were applying to concerned district industry centre (DIC) through offline mode for availing benefits, Sahu said, adding, “It is a part of reforms adopted under the Ease of Doing Business.”
