Bhubaneswar: To avoid public congregation at Regional Transport Offices (RTO) across Odisha amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the state government has decided to start online renewal of Driving License (DL) services for customers.
People can renew their DL by clicking on www.parivahan.gov.in.
In the online procedure customers can also apply for name and address change, issue of duplicate DL, change of biometric, replacement of DL, issue of extract of DL, surrender of Class of Vehicle (CoV), issue of No Objection Certificate (NOC), and surrender of NOC through the portal.
On the other hand candidates applying for fresh Driving License (DL) and Learning License (LL) cannot avail skill test online, informed the State Road Transport Department.
Odisha had suspended DL and LL tests with effect from March 18, 2020 following the COVID-19 outbreak.
It may be noted that the government has already extended the validity of various essential motor vehicle documents. The fitness certificate, registration certificate of non-transport vehicles, driving license, learners license expired/expiring between February 1, 2020 and June 30, 2020 will be treated valid till September 30, 2020.
