Cuttack: The Orissa State Bar Council general body meeting Sunday decided to implement the principle of ‘one Bar one vote’ for lawyers of all Bar councils across the state.
As per the council’s decision, election to all the Bar associations will be held every year in the last Saturday of March. If any last Saturday is declared as a holiday then the previous Saturday will be chosen for the election.
This year, the Bar association has decided to hold the polls March 30. The voter list for the election will be released February 28.
Next year, the voter list will be released January 31.
