Cuttack: OPSC (Odisha Public Service Commission) has been directed by the Orissa High Court not to release the results of Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2021 without its permission.
The High Court Friday put the interim stay on the announcement of Civil Services 2021 results while hearing a petition filed by a PwD (Person with Disability) candidate named Satish Kumar Panigrahi.
According to a source, the candidate was not allowed to appear in the personality test of the examination. Subsequently, Satish filed a writ petition at Orissa High Court. In the petition, he had asked for an order directing OPSC to allow him to participate in the personality test, the source added.
The source said that Satish – who applied under PwD category for the recruitment — had provided a disability certificate indicating therein that he had 40 per cent temporary disability.
Following the hearing, Orissa High Court directed the OPSC to allow Satish to participate in the ongoing personality test which will continue till July 25.
