Cuttack: The Orissa High Court will remain closed on account of summer vacation starting May 20.
According to the High Court calendar, the court will open starting June 15 and proceedings will resume from June 17 since June 16 falls on Sunday.
That said, the holiday bench of the Court will hear cases at 11:00am May 22, 29, June 4 and 11 during one-month holiday, read a notification issued by the High Court registrar.
The matters will be heard by the holiday bench judges comprising of Justice Akshaya Kumar Rath, Justice Biswanath Rath and Justice D Dash May 22. Similarly, Justice Rath, Justice Dash and Justice Satrughana Pujahari will hear the urgent cases May 29 while Justice Sanju Panda, Justice Pramath Patnaik, Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo will run the court June 4 and the cases will be heard by Justice Panda, Justice Patnaik and Justice Mishra June 11.
Meanwhile, the High Court office will remain closed May 26, June 2, 5, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 during summer holidays. The office will remain opened from 11:00am till 3:00pm during working days and the new cases can be registered between 11:00am and 12:00pm.
