Bhubaneswar: Hundreds of aspirants Tuesday staged a demonstration in Bhubaneswar alleging corruption in conducting OSSC (Odisha Staff Selection Commission) examinations.
The protesting candidates demanded a CBI probe into one alleged and another confirmed paper-leak incidents and pressed for transparency in examinations conducted by OSSC.
“If jobs are being sold for money, it is not justified. It is the responsibility of Odisha government and OSSC to ensure complete transparency”, said one of the agitating aspirants.
Notably, scores of job aspirants July 31 had staged a protest in front of Balasore SP (Superintendent of Police) and Collector’s offices demanding a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in the examinations conducted by OSSC.

The resentment among the aspirants brewed as OSSC July 23 cancelled the JE (Civil) Main written examination that was held July 16 and rescheduled it to September 3 following the confirmation by Balasore SP about the question paper leak.
Amid the uproar on JE (Civil), scores of OSSC ULB Accountant aspirants July 30 staged a protest in front of their examination centre at Bhadrak Autonomous College alleging question paper leak. Aspirants claimed that the question papers were leaked as they had seen the seal of the papers broken before the commencement of the examination.
