Bhubaneswar: Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has cancelled the main written examinations for Hindi and Sanskrit teacher recruitment that were held September 22 and 23 respectively and examinations will be held afresh in December this year.
The commission has cancelled the examinations as many questions were out-of-syllabus.
In a statement, the OSSC said that a significant number of questions were from outside the syllabus published by the commission. Therefore, it was decided to cancel the main examination for Hindi teachers held September 22 and Sanskrit teachers held September 23.
It can be mentioned here that OSSC received numerous complaints from candidates, who have raised concerns about a significant number of questions being beyond the scope of the syllabus. They called for the cancellation of the current examination and re-examination.

Earlier, many students also staged a dharna in front of the commission’s office.
Notably, OSSC Friday published the results of the main examination for TGT Arts, TGT Science PCM, TGT Science CBZ, Telugu Teacher and Physical Education Teacher.
