Bhadrak: Scores of OSSC ULB Accountant aspirants Sunday staged a protest in front of their examination centre at Bhadrak Autonomous College alleging question paper leak.

Aspirants claimed that the question papers were ‘leaked’ as they had noticed that the seal of the papers had been broken before the commencement of the examination.

A protesting aspirant said that they pointed out the broken seals of the question papers and wanted to leave the college premises but they were not allowed to exit.

Another aspirant stated that the question papers were given to them with a delay of nearly 10 minutes.

“Usually, the question paper is opened in presence of aspirants but no such thing was followed. For this, we suspect that the question paper was leaked,” he added.

The candidate further alleged that most question papers’ seals had been broken by the time he arrived at the examination centre. Upon asking, the authorities told him that they had received it that way.

Even after raising the issue with the staff at Bhadrak Autonomous College, the candidates did not receive any satisfactory response. Subsequently, several aspirants staged a demonstration in front of the college without appearing in the examination, the source informed.

The aspirants demanded cancellation of the examination due to lack of transparency.

Police and senior officials from the district administration were trying to pacify the agitating candidates at the time of filing this report.
