Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has completed preparations for evaluation of papers of the annual High School Certificate (HSC), Madhyama (Sanskrit) and Odisha State Open School (OSOS) examinations. The evaluation will start from March 25.
Briefing the media here, the Controller of examinations, BSE, Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said a total of 16,030 teaching staff, including 761 chief examiners, 1,482 deputy chief examiners, 12,265 assistant examiners and 1,522 scrutinisers will be engaged for evaluation of the papers, while 176 examiners will be engaged for evaluation of Madhyama (Sanskrit) papers. The evaluation will continue till April 5.
“All examiners have been asked to report to respective evaluation centres March 24 to attend a meeting to be presided over by the District Education Officer (DEO) or his/her representatives who will issue appointment to other examiners as a replacement of the absent examiners,” Mohanty said.
Stating that the board has decided to complete evaluation in 10-12 days, he said out of a total of 60 evaluation centres, 50 have been earmarked for the valuation of HSC papers, while evaluation of Madhyama (Sanskrit) and OSOS papers will take place at 10 centres.
