Jeypore: Internationally acclaimed and a member of State Yojana Board, Kamala Pujari (70), who was conferred Friday the Padma Shri, has been hospitalised here. She was admitted at the district headquarters hospital (DHH) here Friday night, after her condition deteriorated at home.
Acting on the directions of chief district medical officer (CDMO) Dr Kaliprasad Behera, a team led by Dr Suryasekhar Mishra went to Patraput village with an ambulance and after conducting some tests brought her to the hospital. She is being treated in a special ward.
The doctors said she is suffering from high fever, cold and cough. She has also been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Doctors said Saturday that she will be kept under observation for a couple of days.
