BHUBANESWAR: Having cemented a place for herself in the Guinness book of world records, Rani, daughter of Lt M L Raikwar, is off to achieve new highs with her sterling determination and never say die attitude.
Born on August 15, 1983, Rani’s story is like a Bollywood epic. Coming from a modest background, Rani has carved out a niche for herself due to her positive efforts and thinking. A firm believer of Lord Shiva, she lives by the saying ‘never say die’.
Rani had broken a world record by pulling an 8835 kg truck by her hair. The record brought unprecedented pride and glory to the state. She attributes this success to her belief, teachings and strength gained from Bhrahmakumari ashrams. She takes very good care of her hair as it is turning out to be her indispensible asset.
Her late father was a retired Public Works Department (PWD) employee. She had gained a lot of resilience from him. She had also gained tremendous strength from her mother Rukmini, who is always supportive of her daring endeavours. She has always been a guiding factor in Rani’s life.
Rani’s father wanted to get her married at the tender age of 14. She refused to comply with the decision and ran off to her aunt’s place in Bhopal. Her mother stood firm and stayed the marriage decision. Later, Rani joined a Brahmakumari Ashram. This is where she rediscovered herself. She was convinced that the purpose of her life was something different.
Rani looks after her siblings as she is still very attached to her family. She gets up early in the morning to practise yoga and meditation daily. According to her, she gains inner strength, peace of mind and abilities from meditation. She stated that what is impossible to others is a cakewalk for her due to years of dedicated meditation.
Rani believes in simple living and high thinking. She leads a pretty normal life. She has already visited several countries to showcase her talents. She has participated in a number of reality TV shows, getting a lot of appreciation in the process. Rani has also received compliments and a ‘Jadoo ki jhappi’ from actor Sanjay Dutta for pulling a bus packed with passengers with her hair during a reality TV show. She has also participated in a TV show Gunnies Book of World records hosted by famous Bollywood actress Preeti Zinta.
Her name also features in the Limca Book of records. She is a media friendly person who is adored by almost all media houses. Her interviews have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines. She has also participated in Zee TV’s ‘Shabaash India’.
Rani has also endorsed numerous beauty and hair oil products. She also aspires to be a well-known model. She is now planning to pull a railway engine and a Boeing aircraft by her hair to gain worldwide recognition.
