Lahore: Pakistani authorities have suspended the ‘Samjhauta Express’ train service between Pakistan and India until further notice, a media report said Thursday, amidst tense bilateral ties in the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack. The train departs Monday and Thursday from Lahore.
“The Samjhauta Express train service between Pakistan and India has been suspended until further notice,” ‘DawnNewsTV’ reported Thursday citing railway authorities. It was scheduled to depart from Lahore with 16 passengers.
It had embarked on its journey from Karachi but the passengers got are stuck at Lahore after the journey was terminated.
The Indian Railways however, are continuing the services from Delhi to Attari. The train left with 24 passengers, Wednesday and reached Attari where the passengers disembarked.
