Papadahandi ‘deer park’ to get ecotourism status

Nabarangpur: Attending as the chief guest in district level 73rd Independence Day celebration at Nabarangpur Wednesday, tourism minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi arrived in circuit house ground by a helicopter. Panigrahi visited the deer park at Nabarangpur and announced, ‘this park will be given the status of ecotourism’. In this connection, discussions will be held with the District Collector and Divisional Forest Officer, tourism minister said. According to sources, many value additions will be made in order to attract more number of tourists to the park. Accommodations for night stay of tourists will also be developed in nearby areas. The project will include all modern amenities, sources said.  He was welcomed by District Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra, Nabarangpur MLA Sadashiv Pradhani, Additional Collector Nimain Charan Sutar, district I&PR officer Haladhar Nial, district tourism officer Talina Pradhan, Nabarangpur DFO Ranjit Mallick and many other senior officials.
