Nayagarh: The mother of five-year-old victim girl Pari from Nayagarh Soudamini Sahu alleged Wednesday evening that the IIC of Sadar police station Rinarani Sahu had earlier misbehaved with her.

The investigation of murder was intentionally played down upon the direction of Minister Arun Sahoo, the deceased’s mother added.
“I had already expressed that the IIC of Sadar police station has links with Minister Arun Sahoo. She has been deliberately investigating the murder in a different angle, in order to shield the prime accused Babuli Nayak including the Minister Sahoo. Why has she not been arrested or interrogated so far,” Pari’s mother questioned.
Police picked up Pari’s parents from their house at 10am on the 12th day of her murder. They were dropped at their house around midnight. The IIC has been forcing for a false confession, the mother stated.
“Police have been treating us like criminals. Once, they even forcibly barged into our house and manhandled me including my mother. The IIC along with Nayagarh SP should be suspended. Strong disciplinary action should be taken against them,” she demanded.
Revealing the unholy nexus between the Minister and the criminal, Soudamini said, “I have heard the IIC talking with the Minister over phone and taking instructions from him while I was there in the police station for a lie detection test. I can assert that Minister Arun Sahoo is involved in this sensitive murder case”.
Notably, in a similar vein the local sarpanch Soumya Ranjan Pradhan also made allegations about a nexus between the Minister, police and the prime accused Babuli Nayak, saying that they are all trying for a massive cover up on the murder case.
