Baripada: PRM Medical College and Hospital at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district has been witnessing a huge rush of patients from various parts of the district, West Bengal and Jharkhand, but they have been facing a lot of inconvenience in their registration.
Amid allegations of messy services, the medical college has been struggling to handle more patients and managements issues.
There are two registration counters for outdoor patients– one for male and another for female. Saturday, a counter for women remained closed for unknown reason.
The male counter had a long queue of patients standing. Some patients were registered, but they had to return disappointed without see doctors.
This triggered tension on the premises of the medical college for some time.
Hospital manager Dr Samir Mohapatra said that the computer in one counter has been defunct. The service agency concerned has been asked to set it right, he added.
