Pension dept officer caught taking Rs 10,000-bribe in Jaipur

Jaipur: A pension department officer was caught taking bribe of Rs 10,000 here Wednesday, police said.

Assistant Accounts Officer Amit Pareek had demanded Rs 10,000 from a retired government employee for pension related work, Anti Corruption Bureau officials said.

After verifying the complaint against Pareek, the ACB laid a trap and caught him, they said.

Pareek has been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act, officials said.

An increased corruption cases has become the worry of the whole department and they are garnering more resources in terms of ideas and ways in which to curve the unabated menace.
