Puri: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Friday inaugurated a multimedia photo exhibition titled ‘48 Months of Transforming India’ organised by Bureau of Outreach & Communication of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Saradhabali here.
“The exhibition will create awareness regarding the welfare schemes of the Centre among people who turn up for the Rath Yatra. The Prime Minister has sought people’s cooperation to maintain cleanliness and hygiene during this year’s Rath Yatra,” Pradhan said while inaugurating the exhibition.
The exhibition highlights the achievements of the Narendra Modi government at Centre during last 48 months. The exhibition has audio-visual presentations on many Central government schemes like Jandhan Yojana, Swachha Bharat Mission, Soubhagya Yojana, 2nd Green Revolution and Ujjwala scheme. Besides, the exhibition also depicts details regarding the Centre’s efforts to develop national highways and village roads in the country and its contribution to the Rupee-1 rice scheme of the Odisha government.
State-owned entities like Khadi and Gramodyaga department, Paradip Port Trust and NTPC have opened their stalls at the exhibition.
Several cultural troupes have been roped in by the ministry to perform at the outreach programme. The exhibition is scheduled to continue till July 22. “People can visit the exhibition between 11 am and 8 pm,” said official of Regional Outreach Bureau, Bhubaneswar.
Among others, additional press registrar (Odisha) Ranjan Dev Sharma and Regional Outreach Bureau Pradip Kumar Choudhury were present at the inaugural ceremony.
